The History of Poultry Paradise
"Poultry Paradise" has been operating since Feb. 2000. What began as a "hobby" for Laura, hatching and keeping birds for her own enjoyment, developed into a full time operation when she began getting requests to sell some of her birds. Laura, in charge of the hatchery, takes care to make sure the "babies" get the best start possible. Steven, in charge of the "outside work" makes sure that everything is well cared for and in proper working order!! After turning the farm into a full time operation, the children have become involved in the day to day chores, helping to keep everything clean, organized and well stocked. The birds are let out to range at dawn every day, and return to their roosts at dusk every night.
The "Hatchery"
Nearly everyday is "hatch day"!! In our own incubators eggs are set daily. Our biddies, poults and ducklings are started on a high quality game bird starter/grower. We offer fertile eggs, day old birds as well as pullets and full grown, laying birds.
Come See the pampered piglets!!!
We now have several piglets, the newest addition to our farm. They are a welcome and much loved addition to our farm!!!
"A Day at the Farm"
Join us for a day at the farm!! Every Saturday we offer a "special" farm tour with all farm related games, prizes, activities, animal petting and feeding. Stop by any time between 9-5. Story time and sing along begins at 6:00p.m.until sundown. Bring your own blanket or lawnchair.
